Slack integration

Slack connects workspace channels to Sayless conversations and, on eligible plans, broadcasts.

Overview

Use Slack when customer or partner communication happens in Slack channels, or when your team sends broadcasts through Slack. Slack setup is managed by workspace admins from settings. Personal Slack account connections may also be required for some workflows. Slack is also currently tied to broadcast creation. If workspace Slack is not connected, broadcast creation can be blocked.

Slack channel conversations require the Business plan or Enterprise plan. Slack broadcasts require the Enterprise plan.

Connect Slack

Slack has both workspace-level and personal connection concepts.

Workspace connection

The workspace connection allows Sayless to work with Slack for the whole workspace. Admins connect or disconnect the workspace integration from Slack settings.

Personal connection

Personal Slack accounts are connected from Apps or Connected Accounts when a workflow requires the user’s own Slack identity. If a teammate sees an admin connection required message, the workspace Slack connection must be completed before they can add their personal account.

Plan requirements

If the Slack settings page shows an upgrade state, the workspace is below the first plan that includes Slack. Upgrade to Business for Slack channel workflows, or Enterprise if the team also needs Slack broadcasts.

Manage channels

Connected channels determine where Slack conversations can be linked.

Connected channels

Use the Slack channels page to review channels connected to the workspace. The connected channels page shows channel names, company mappings, and row actions.

Assign companies

Map channels to companies so Slack conversations carry account context. This mapping keeps Slack-originated work visible from company pages.

Leave a channel

Remove a channel connection when it should no longer be managed through Sayless.

Broadcast profiles

Broadcast profiles control sender identity for Slack broadcasts.

Create profile

Create a profile when your team needs a reusable sender for broadcasts.

Edit profile

Update profiles when sender details change.

Remove profile

Remove profiles that should no longer be used.
