WhatsApp integration

WhatsApp brings group-based customer communication into Sayless.

Overview

Use WhatsApp when your team works with customers or partners in WhatsApp groups. Admins can enable WhatsApp for the workspace, connect groups with invite links, and map groups to companies. WhatsApp availability depends on your workspace plan. WhatsApp setup is workspace-level. Individual users do not connect their personal WhatsApp account in the current client flow. Go to Settings > WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is available on the Business plan and Enterprise plan. If the page says WhatsApp is unavailable, admins can review Settings > Billing.

Connect WhatsApp

WhatsApp setup starts from workspace settings.

Enable workspace WhatsApp

Enable WhatsApp for the workspace. Sayless assigns a managed line for the workspace. The enable action opens a confirmation modal because it affects the whole workspace.

Managed line

Messages use the assigned workspace WhatsApp line after WhatsApp is enabled. The settings page shows the assigned line when one is available.

Disable WhatsApp

Disable WhatsApp when the workspace should stop sending and receiving WhatsApp messages through Sayless. Disabling WhatsApp stops group links from working until WhatsApp is enabled again.

Groups are connected from the WhatsApp settings page.

Connect groups

Join groups using invite links. Group connection is available only after workspace WhatsApp is enabled.

Assign companies

Link groups to companies so conversations appear with account context. This is one of the most important WhatsApp setup steps. Without company mapping, group conversations may arrive without useful account context.

Review connected groups

Use the connected groups page to see which groups are active.

Internal users

Internal users are team members in WhatsApp groups who should not be treated as customer contacts.

Configure internal users

Add internal users from WhatsApp settings. Use this for teammates who participate in customer groups but are not Sayless workspace members or should not be created as contacts.

Configuring internal users helps prevent Sayless from creating contacts for your own teammates.
